Abstract

This paper is aimed at studying the role of knowledge management in explaining optimal strategies of human resources in the oil industry. The present paper is an applied research in terms of objective, a survey research in terms of data collection method, and descriptive – analytic research in terms of data analysis method. The statistical universe is comprised of all managers and senior experts of National Iranian Oil Company. The statistical sample was estimated 120 by using Cochran formula. Also to study the relation between variables, the structural equations method and Lisrel software were applied. The results indicate that knowledge management is effective on human resources optimal strategies in absorbing, training, and retaining them.
