The present research has been conducted in order to examine the relationship among meritocracy in appointment of personnel with their career promotion and achievement. The methodology of this study was of descriptive- surveying type. The statistical population includes all personnel (directors and employees) from Saderat Bank of Iran (BSI) in western headquarter of Tehran province with totally 1123 participants. The sample size of the current investigation comprises of 290 respondents, who were evaluated by means of Perceived Competence Questionnaire (Garcia, 2001) and Work Motivation Questionnaire (Elenasik, 2012). The research questions were examined by SPS software via correlation test. The research findings indicated that there was significant relationship among meritocracy in appointment of personnel and their career motivation and promotion. Similarly, there is significant relationship among meritocracy in appoint of personnel with variables of career promotion, need to recognition, self-awareness, career resilience, and career awareness in personnel.
