Employees are the most important indicators of measuring organizational excellence. Organizational commitment is an important factor in predicting and understanding of organizational behavior and identification of the factors affecting organizational commitment may be helpful in improving organizational commitment. Therefore, this study investigated the relationship between job burnout and organizational commitment. It was a descriptive correlational research. Population of the study included 153 staffs of Electricity Distribution Company in one of the Iranian provinces. According to Morgan table, 108 participants were selected based on simple random sampling. The results showed that a significant inverse relationship existed between job burnout and organizational commitment in general and affective and normative dimensions. It was also found that a significant positive relationship existed between job burnout and organizational commitment in a continuance dimension.
