The research was conducted in 2014 by the aim of study the social capital status of faculty members in Urmia University of Medical Sciences. The actual research is a cross-sectional descriptive and analytical survey. The research environment is faculties if Urmia Medical Science University. The population consists of 250 university faculty members and a sample including 151 people was selected by the use of stratified multistage sampling method. Data collection was based on a questionnaire which had been applied in the previous studies and the reliability and validity of the questionnaire was studied and confirmed once more. The questionnaires were filled in by the faculty members and the data were analysed by the application of Spss 19 software. Average and Standard Deviation (SD) of the total score were gained such as 3.61±0.574. Moreover, a significant discrepancy was observed between Social capital average of Urmia University of Medical Sciences based on the university (r=0.001) and (F=4.241).
