Abstract

There has been an increasing interest and controversy about the role of religion in society and economic growth in recent years. Governments all over the world and business organizations are increasingly aware of the importance role of religion and culture in enhancing economic development. Corporate social responsibility is a concept which has ethical and moral dimensions and hence studying the concept from a religious point of view could help support CRS compliance and reporting in the modern societies where religion plays a vital role in people‘s life style and corporate goverence. This paper tries to analyze the theoretical base of CRS in Islam. It is understand that religion can strengthen and stimulate CSR commitment of the organizations and its reporting.
