Manufacturing industries have a workforce from different ethnic backgrounds and varying beliefs on all aspects of professional and personal life. The main objective of the study is to investigate how belief influences the ethnic workers at their work environments, and to what extent their beliefs sway their day-to-day affairs both positively and negatively. A well-structured questionnaire have been administered to them to bring out their views on tolerance, religion, family, money, friends, humanity, leisure, and children. The respondents from different manufacturing industries with different backgrounds and especially workers in general engineering, pumps and motors manufacturing, textiles and foundry from Coimbatore have been studied. The study thus highlights the salient features of belief system of workers with special focus on ethnicity.
