The present study aimed at investigating the effect of work ethic on organizational effectiveness and customer satisfaction among the education department staff and school teachers of Tehran's district 5. The study, considering its purpose, adopts an applied method, and uses a descriptive survey for data collection. The statistical population included 750 education department staff and school principals of Tehran's district 5. Using stratified random sampling (stories of different faculties of the university) and based on Morgan table, 256 of them were selected as the research sample. To collect the required data, three standardized questionnaires were used: Costa McRae's work ethic questionnaire (1992), Parsons’ standardized effectiveness questionnaire (1969) and customer satisfaction measurement questionnaire (2003). To evaluate the reliability of questionnaires, Cronbach's alpha and combined reliability coefficient were used according to which the questionnaires were reliable. Besides, to evaluate the validity of the questionnaires of the study, content validity and construct validity were used and the findings indicated that the questionnaires were valid. To analyze the collected data, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with partial least squares regression using Smart PLS was used. According to the obtained results, work ethic and its components have a positive and significant effect on organizational effectiveness and customer satisfaction among the education department staff and school principals of Tehran's district 5.
