The impact of quality of management information system on organizational agility (case study: Metal Industry of Kaveh Industrial City)

Abstract

The present research was conducted with the aim of studying the impact of quality of management information system on organizational agility in Metal Industry of Kaveh Industrial City. The research was practical in terms of objectives and descriptive-survey in terms of method of data collection. The research population consisted of 650 of managers and supervisors in Metal Industry Companies of Kaveh Industrial City among whom 242 individuals were selected as a sample size using Morgan table and stratified random sampling method. Sharifi and Zhang organizational agility standard questionnaire (1999) and Sagvand information management system (2011) were used in order to collect data. Afterwards, the collected data and research hypotheses were analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling together with Smart PLS 2 software in two parts of measurement model and structural. In the first section, technical features of the questionnaire including reliability, convergent validity and divergent validity were investigated. In the second section, significant coefficient of the software was employed in order to study the research hypotheses. The research results indicated that the quality of information management system and its components including establishment quality, function and credibility had impact on organizational agility of metal industry companies of Kaveh Industrial City.
