According to the novelty of the present research in the field of adult's playfulness, the present research was conducted with the aim of investigating the relationship of coping with stress strategies with creativity and playfulness in students of University of Tehran.
The under study population consisted of students of University of Tehran among whom 310 individuals were selected as a sample size using stratified random sampling method. Coping Inventory for Stressful Situations (CISS) and playfulness Questionnaire were used for collecting data. Regression and Correlation Methods and Amos and SPSS software were used for data analysis.
The results of data analysis showed that problem-focused and emotion-focused coping strategies can predict playfulness at level of 0.01 and avoidant coping strategy can predict playfulness at level of 0.05. In total, coping strategies explain more than 47% of playfulness variance. Conclusion: generally, this study indicated that playful people are less likely to experience stress.
