Abstract

Expansion and optimization of road network is known as designing of physical road networks in geographical are a with proper interconnectivity and connection patterns. The paper has proposed a Topological Model developed by K. J. Kansky (1963) to estimate Circuits, Connectivity and Connection Pattern as “Model of Optimum Road Network Development” (MOORND) with (13) basic parameters. The finding shows the highest average value by Gamma (γ) 0.8 and lowest by Alpha (α) is 0.2. Lowest value of Alpha (α) signifies the Madhya Pradesh is lacking on the part of number of circuits (interconnectivity).
