Urban centers are potential arena for the investors which lead the overall development of the area. The condition is similar in Indian context in general and Northeast India in particular. We emphasize here pattern of the unequal growth of cities in Northeast India compared with other major urban agglomeration. Data has been collected from census of India in different years and other published and unpublished papers/documents related to the study.
