Abstract

The educational level of a region determines the quality of life and overall socio-economic development of that particular region. This study is an attempt to assess the spatial variation in educational attainment and educational facilities available at the local level in Dakshin Dinajpur, West Bengal. Spatial variations in educational attainment has been assessed through selective indicators. The study reveals that two blocks are highly developed, three blocks are moderately developed, and three blocks are lowly developed.
