Abstract

In the present study we have examined the effect of gathering during socio cultural activities on various water sources of Bargarh town which includes 5 community pond (CP) representing surface water, 5 tube wells representing ground water (GW), 1 river and I canal representing flowing water(FW) located in different parts of Bargarh town, basically where different activities of Dhanuyatra are perfomed. The present study deals with the study of physico-chemical parameters like Chlorides, Fluoride, Iron, Total dissolved solid, Hardness, Turbidity, Dissolved oxygen, Total alkalinity, pH along with Bacteriological examination. The correlation analysis on water quality parameters revealed that all parameters are more or less correlated with each other Person's Correlation matrix. It is observed that some of the parameters do not have significant correlation among them indicating the different origin source of pollution.
