This study examines the consumption expenditure pattern of working women engaged in different economic activities on time saving goods and services. Field survey data were collected from working-wife and non-working wife households of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, the growing capital city of Odisha. The state registers in India with the 16.8% labour market participation of women in the organised sector. The empirical result shows that there are differences in consumption expenditures and time-saving consumption expenditures of both households in the study area. The dual-earner households spend more on durable and non-durable goods and services than the single-earner households.
