Being one of the biodiversity hotspot, North Eastern Region (NER) of India has immense potential for growing different variety of horticultural crops like fruits. Moreover, Fruits in NER contains one third of total fruits diversity in nation. Hence considering the importance of fruits in NER, an attempt has been made in the present paper to analyse the growth and instability in fruits production in NER. The study found that NE states are showing positive significant growth rate in case of area, production and productivity of fruits with low instability.
