Abstract

The study was performed with anaim to investigate the effect of transformational leadership and Transformational leadership on leadership outcome of supervisory employees working in banking sector. The Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ-5x)developed by Avolio and Bass (2004) was administered to collect the relevant data from 300 supervising level employees at banking sector in Kerala. Among 300 questionnaire, 288 were received error free. A five point Likert scale questionnaire, consisting of 45items was used for the study.. It is found that transformational leadership and transactional leadership have positively effects on leadership outcome. The transformational leadership has a stronger influence on leadership outcome in comparison with transactional leadership.
