Abstract

The present study was conducted toinvestigate the effectiveness of reciprocal teaching on English reading comprehension of seventh graders who are low achievers in English. A total of (N=100) low achievers in English were identified and the sample was divided into two groups; experimental group (N=50) was taught through reciprocal teaching and control group (N=50) was taught through conventional method. Pre-test-post-test with one control group design was employed and the data collected was subjected to one-way analysis of variance. The result indicated the effectiveness of reciprocal teaching in improving reading comprehension of the students who are low achievers in English.
