Abstract

Cloud Computing refers to both the applications delivered as services over the Internet and the hardware and systems software in the datacenters that provide those services. Cloud computing is a new technique of computing that is extensively used in today's business as well as society. It is a present-day model and one of the latest computer industry slogans. Cloud computing brings the revolutionary changes in the world of Information Communication Technology because of its immense benefits such as reduced cost, accessible anywhere anytime as well as its resistance and tractability. It has developed as a new model for management and distributing services over the Internet. This survey gives an overview of Cloud computing technology and describes how it is being used in various libraries in Asian countries.
