Digitization reduces the gap between the documents and its users. One of the prominent characters of digital library is its frankness or openness in the arrangement of data. Digital information which is kept-in a website can be equally accessed by all the users. But the library, which has a long history of existence, cannot digitize its entire document overnight. So each library of excellence has a hybrid nature in which both the digitized documents are coexisted with the vast resources of non-digitized documents. Information hiding is one of the lacunae of non-digitized i.e. printed documents management of many of those libraries. In this paper attempts are being made to know the causes of information hiding in traditional libraries and to find out the solutions through the implementation of digital technology.
