This paper attempts to highlight the influence and impact of discovery tools to attain the optimum usage level of resources available in the libraries. It also provides an overview of how these technologies able to adapt to changes in the evolving information landscape to provide access to resources. A decade back accessing many online resources with single click was dream. However the scenario has drastically changed now. Today the user community can retrieve desire information in different format with single click using the Discovery/vertical products. This paper does not aim to make any comparisons of products such as OCLC's World Cat, EBSCO Discovery Service, Ex Libris ’Primo, Google Scholar etc.
