Abstract

Information Literacy on Workers in Match and Fireworks Industries Scenario in Sivakasi of Tamilnadu in and around 450 Match and firework industries employing about 40, 000 direct workers and 1, 00, 000 indirect workers, an equal proportion of unauthorized manufacturing sector is controlling the manufacturing of Match and firework products.

Due to the Working Condition and Security Measures among Workers in Match and Fireworks Industries during the manufacturing process. Hence, an attempt is made to identify the nature of work, education level, explosion hazards by conducting interview type questionnaire survey in match and fireworks industries. The survey was conducted in 140 match and firework industries, which aimed at studying the status of working environment, type of construction and other social factors.
