Abstract

Technologies have brought immense change in the way of library services. With the emergence of newer technologies such as Web 2.0 applications have added different dimensions in the way of routine library processes. In this knowledge age the face of library has totally transformed from a mere storehouse of books to user friendly place where user's satisfaction is the chief concern. The present study revolves around the innovative services provided in RGI, Central Library. The main objectives of the study are to provide an overview of innovative practices performed in the library. The study also presents a picture of the innovative practices offered by other libraries mainly in the western countries.
