Abstract

This paper describes about the lack of skill in the library professionals to serve the disabled patrons and the areas of training required to them in providing the best services to the disabled library users. Library staff has to be well trained to handle different types of Software and Hardware available to the disabled persons to serve all kinds of disabled patrons of the library. Library staffs have to undergo different levels of training programmes to develop the sensitivity and understanding to satisfy the needs of the patrons with disabilities. Technology is a boon and only solution for the disabled persons to enhance their knowledge in which the library staffs have to become expert to render the best service to the disabled patrons.
