Technological advancements have had introduced electronic information resources which offers enormous benefits to user groups. This paper aims to put-forth, the licensing about e-resources. Let us delve deep into the licensing e-resources and display the types of licensing available and the need for licensing e-resources. It further discusses in detail about the terms and conditions involved in the licensing e-resources area that each and every library and information science professionals should know in acquiring licensed digital contents. It discusses negotiating, authenticity, performance based licensor, licensee and mutual obligations, usage restrictions etc., in licensing e-resources.
