Abstract

To consider the changing nature of the information access and today's rapid development of Technology lead Libraries to looking forward to rethink search and discovery services. Libraries have started re-examining the function, design and usefulness of the Online Catalogue. This paper explains about today's Online Catalogues in Libraries and how to increase the service Quality of the Libraries through OPACs. This paper also gave some suggestions that how to implement the User-centric designed, and this paper discusses about the features of Future Online Catalogue by implementing discovery services, and also to enhance the Online Catalogue when designing next generation systems and services.
