Abstract

Education aims to impart knowledge and make good citizens. According to Public library Manifesto (1954 and its several amendments up to 1994), the general citizen of a country or continent is directly related to be successfully knowledgeable by the help of public libraries only. The purpose of this paper is to discuss traditional library services and digital library services in a comparative view and find out a solid base of evidence on how traditional libraries have been developing in their services and strategies and how users have been making use of those services.
