Abstract

The term “nutraceutical” is used to describe food or part of a food supplement, that offers a medical or health benefit by providing simple nutrition. Such food offers a health benefits may include the prevention or reoccurrence of disease. The neurons in the human brain affected primarily up to the certain range of condition is termed as Neurodegenerative disease and the rapid degeneration of nerve cells are resultance of debilitating condition that caused by incurable neurodegenerative disease.

The importance of plants has been realized since its ancient period for the medicinal value. Many plants have a great potential for the prevention and treatment of multiple neurological conditions, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-protein-aggregate activities in neuron cells.

Antioxidants reduce the oxidative stress in cells and therefore species containing antioxidants are useful in the treatment of many human diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative and inflammatory diseases. Lot of interest is focused on measuring antioxidant capacity of natural products and diet rich in antioxidants would be beneficial to human health. Earlier In vitro studies have shown that these extract can inhibit amyloid β fibrillization by solubilizing fibrils, Hence the extract has a protective effect against Aβ induced oxidative stress and cellular death. Synthetic antioxidants are currently used as a food additives, and many plant species have similar antioxidant potentials. Here we suggest nutraceutical approach by devising a feed formulation with rich antioxidant molecules extracted from marine sources in addition with phyto sources for cognitive disease management.
