Abstract

To achieve optimum material handling in a production process, components such as raw materials, semi finished & finished products AGVS is best method. To get cost effectiveness and quality products automation can be implemented for product process in small & large scale industries. By implementing automatic tool changer for tools to fit in the machine and to transfer materials to various work stations by AGVS. It can reduce tool setting time for tool change, their by increases production, reduce wastage of materials, increases the quality of the work and pre determined cycle time for a product can be known. In this paper implementing tool changer and AGVS for production process for a product and collecting the data from the real process and do the computer simulation for real process parameters in automation & AGVS for material handling system and to prove these are best methods to achieve needs & demands of Industries. By AGVS and Automatic tool changer can bring the cost of products is proved. For small products horizontal machining center is suitable and for large products vertical machining center preferable. Optimum production process with implementing AGVS and machining centers in a shop floor is achieved.
