The ecosystem services are subject to market failure, institution and policy failure, and community failure. Despite of providing so many services, they have been declining and degrading and caused to societies’ welfare loss. These cumulative failures causes to inefficient use of resources and do not attain the Pareto optimality that accusers in mismatch between marginal social cost and marginal individual cost. To overcome it, the quantification of ecosystem services can able to draw consumer preferences for ecosystem services and decision making in ecosystem services policy frame work. Therefore here it is an attempt to know Ground Water Recharges Function of 2 tanks in Ramangara District. The primary data collected by samples with help of structured questionnaires. The stratified random sampling technique followed in sample selection and the production function approach method will be used to value ground water recharges function.
