This research presents new data and insights into the relationship between total quality management (TQM) implementation and organisational performance. The main purpose of this research is to determine the impact of TQM implementation on organisational performance in the context of Indian automotive industries. The main implication of the findings for managers/decision makers is that a typical manufacturing organisation is more likely to achieve better performance in customer satisfaction with TQM than without TQM.
