Abstract

Service orientation is an approach to software systems development that has become a popular way to implement distributed, loosely coupled systems, because it offers such features as standardization, platform independence, well-defined interfaces, and tool support that enable legacy system integration. In such platforms, the collaborations typicallyinclude both human and software services, thus creating highly dynamic and complex interactions. The increasing complexity of compositions and the distribution ofpeople and services require adaptive and context-aware interaction models. We present a novel approach addressing the need for flexibleinvolvement of experts and knowledge workers in distributed collaborations. In this paper we investigate methods for exploiting such community feedback to automatically identify high quality content. Expert HITS takes trust-relations and link properties in social networks into account to estimate the reputation of users. In computer science, trust is an essential component of the vision for the Semantic Web, where both new problems and new applications of trust are being studied.
