Abstract

The self reported snoring reported to occurs in about 27 percent of pregnant women during third trimester. Self reported snoring is associated with an increase in the occurence of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) but the occurance of OSA might be expected to be higher as most of the pregnant women underreport symptoms of disturbed breathing disorder during sleep, including snoring.
