Investigation was carried out to study the performance of Barbari goat in Chitrakoot region of Madhya Pradesh. The parity had significantly influenced the service period, kidding interval and lactation period only. The overall least squares mean of body weight, heart girth, height and length were observed as 21.59 ± 0.81 kg, 64.34 ± 1.06 cm, 58.46 ± 1.45 cm and 57.13 ± 0.88 cm, respectively. The season of birth effect was found significant for all the conformation traits studied. It is apparent from the results that Barbari goat is well adapted to environmental harshness of Chitrakoot.
