Abstract

Five Beetal X Assam bucks were used to study the testicular biometry during the period of adolescence from 13 to 20 months of age at fortnightly intervals. The size of the right and left testis i.e. length, width, thickness and volume, and scrotal circumference increased (P<0.01) as the age of the bucks advanced from 13 to 19 months. The size of testis and scrotal circumference differed significantly (P<0.01) between the crossbred bucks under used in the investigation. Based on the testicular biometry it appeared that highest reproductive potency for breeding was attained in Beetal X Assam buck at the age of 19 months.
