Abstract

A study was undertaken to assess the seroprevalence of PPR in sheep at different regions of Chhattisgarh state. Monoclonal antibody based competitive ELISA showed 42.23 % seroprevalence of PPR. The distribution and prevalence of antibodies to PPR among various age groups of animals indicated that seroprevalence was highest in adult animals while no seropositivity was recorded in animals of 3–6 month of age. The sex wise prevalence in sheep was higher in female compared to male.
