The effect of dietary dhurrin on goat health was investigated in different season, feed ratio and location. Leaves, barks and twigs of Remja (Prosopis spicigera) plants were sun dried, mixed with Arhar straw at 0:100, 25:75 and 50:50 ratio and were offered ad lib alongwith concentrate mixture to male Barbari goats of 3–6, 6–9 and 9–12 month of age. The experiment was carried out for consecutive 15 days in each season. The animals were weighed periodically after five days interval before offering them feed and water to assess gain or loss in their weight. The content of Dhurrin in Remja varied between 15 to 400 mg (HCN/100 g). Feed intake in summer on 100 % sole rate was lower but did not alter on different portions of plant in different age groups However, the weight loss in animals was highest during summer feed on leaves and 100 % soul rate.
