Hematological, Biochemical and Mineral profile of adult Patanwadi sheep

Abstract

The present study was undertaken to estimate the hematological, mineral and biochemical profile of Patanwadi sheep. The values of Hb, PCV and TLC were within the normal range while for TEC was lower than the reported value. The PCV was higher in male compared to females. The values for creatinine, serum urea nitrogen, alkaline phosphatase and total protein were also well with in the normal range. Alkaline phosphatase was higher in female sheep compared to male while the values of calcium and magnesium were within the normal range.
