An on farm trial was conducted in an adopted KVK village of Bhilwara district of Rajasthan. Sixty growing goats of about 6–8 months age were randomly distributed into 3 groups. Group 1 animals were kept under sole grazing, Group 2 were fed 150 g concentrate mixture while Group 3 were fed 150 g concentrate mixture + 10 g mineral mixture in addition to grazing for 120 days. The total body weight gain was 9.12 ± 0.67 kg in Group 3, 7.47 ± 0.87 kg in Group 2 while in Group 1 it was 4.76 ± 1.02 kg. The average daily weight gain was higher in Group 3 (76.02 ± 1.92g) and Group 2 (62.27 ± 1.14g) compared to Group 1 (39.70 ± 1.02g). It can be concluded that supplementary feeding of concentrate and mineral mixture with grazing was beneficial in growing goats for higher economic returns.
