The distribution and characterization of Kilakarsal sheep were studied in its breeding tract. Kilakarsal is a medium sized sheep breed with compact body conformation having dark tan coat dorsally with black colouration ventrally especially under belly and inner side of legs. The least squares means for BW, HAW, BL, HG, PG, FL, EL and TL in male were 24.75±1.04 kg, 69.79±1.33, 56.48±1.02, 75.28±1.43, 74.87±1.84, 18.50±0.29, 11.33±0.65 and 7.70±0.34 cm, respectively. The corresponding values in female were 21.94±0.44 kg, 68.37±0.56, 55.41±0.43, 69.54±0.60, 67.53±0.78, 17.81±0.12, 12.39±0.27 and 8.12±0.14 cm, respectively. Age and sex were the significant sources of variation on body weight and as the age advanced body weight was also increased.
