Goat production practices namely, vaccination, deworming of animals, treatment with medicine, feeding of colostrum in time and preparation and use of goat milk paneer were adopted by the majority of goat farmers in the adopted villages whereas it was very less in non-adopted villages. In case of utilization of information sources by the goat farmers in adopted and non-adopted villages, it was observed that the major mass media sources were exhibition/kisan mela, television and newspaper. It is concluded from this study that technology adoption level of adopted villages' goat farmers was comparatively more than that of the non-adopted villages' goat farmers with respect to the 12 identified goat production practices. The study revealed the need to formulate more effective mechanism for transmitting the technological information to the end users.
