Effect of concentrate supplementation on growth performance of lambs

The present study was undertaken to assess the beneficial effect of concentrate supplementation on growth performance of lambs at farmer's flock. Lambs of one group were provided concentrate mixture @ of 1% of their body weight in addition to grazing, while lambs of other group were maintained on sole grazing. After 90 days of feeding, the lambs in supplemented group achieved significantly higher body weight and average daily gain than non-supplemented group.
