Abstract

The present study envisaged the seroepidemiology of Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) in livestock of organized farms in Gujarat. Out of 756 sera samples, 218 (28.83%) were found positive for PPRV antibodies. Species-wise seroprevalence was 41.12% in sheep, 26.95% in goats, 11.25% in cattle, 14.78% in buffaloes and 12.30% in camels. A total of 460 clinical samples screened for PPRV antigen revealed an overall incidence of 24.78%.
