A study was conducted to ascertain the level of knowledge and adoption behavior of the farmers with respect to sheep and goat farming due to training imparted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Kattupakkam (Tamil Nadu). A sample of 72 farmers was selected among the trainees who have undergone trainings in KVK. The study revealed that KVK trainings were effective and increased knowledge levels of farmers about sheep and goat rearing practices. The areas in which knowledge gained recorded high, includes management, marketing, breeding and disease control in the order of preference. With regard to the adoption of recommended practices of sheep and goat production, KVK trainees reported 68.89% adoption in disease control followed by management and marketing (64.81%)each.
