The present study was conducted in ravines region of Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh. In all 120 respondents were randomly selected from Chakarnagar, Etawah. Results revealed that majority of the farmers bred their goat in spring by natural mating and provide two services per heat period. Majority of the farmers were not maintaining breeding buck. They were using breeding buck of 1.0-1.6 months old and detection of heat was done by the sign of bleating and mounting and pregnancy diagnosis by non-return to estrus. Majority of the respondents reported that goats gave birth to single kid once in a year. Majority of the farmers adopted breeding of the goats twice at an interval of 10-12 in heat period. Goats were not given flushing ration and farmers were not aware of scientific method used in pregnancy diagnosis. The average adoption score of scientific breeding practices was medium.
