In the present study, goat serum samples from different regions of Gujarat state were screened for the prevalence of BTV antibodies by using competitive enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (c-ELISA), indirect enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (i-ELISA) and agar gel immunodiffusion test (AGID). Out of the total 510 serum samples screened, 57.25%, 39.61% and 26.47% were found positive by cELISA, i-ELISA and AGID test, respectively. The results demonstrated a high prevalence of bluetongue virus antibodies in goats, providing serological evidence of widespread BTV infection in Gujarat state.
