A study was undertaken to evaluate the effect of genetic and non-genetic factors on body weights in Marwari flock comprising records of 4201 animals maintained at Arid Region Campus of the Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute, Bikaner. The overall least-squares means for body weight at birth, three, six, nine and 12 months of ages were 3.10±0.01, 15.01±0.11, 20.91±0.15, 25.24±0.15 and 28.00±0.16 kg, respectively. The results revealed significant (P<0.01) effect of sire, sex, period of birth and dam's weight at lambing on all body weights. The effect of parity was significant (P<0.01) only on birth weight.
