From June, 2014 to May, 2015, a total 300 samples collected from 20 randomly selected flocks in Navsari and Valsad districts of south Gujarat and screened for PPRV antibodies using C-ELISA. The overall seroprevalence of PPR was 25.70% with non-significant effect of district, season and sex. However, relatively higher seroprevalence was observed in winter (31.00%) than in monsoon (24.20%) and summer (21.20%). The seroprevalence was significantly (P<0.05) higher in <6 months age group (41.90%) than older goats. Disease surveillance at regular intervals and mass vaccination programmes are urgently needed to implement for control of PPR in goats of Navsari and Valsad districts of South Gujarat.
