A study was conducted on the outbreak of blue tongue (BT) disease in sheep flock maintained in farm (Livestock Research Station, Palamaner, Andhra Pradesh) and under field conditions (around Palamner). The morbidity, mortality and case fatality rates due to BT disease were 5.45, 1.09 and 20.00%, respectively in farm flock and 27.14, 9.71 and 35.79%, respectively in farmers ’flocks. Among the pregnant animals, abortion rate was 42.86 and 46.67%, in farm and farmers ’flocks respectively.
