Abstract

To assess the status of acaricide (deltamethrin and cypermethrin) resistance in Hyalomma-anatolicum ticks from sheep flocks of Gujarat, a study was conducted using larval packet test (LPT) during October-November, 2018. The ticks were found susceptible to both deltamethrin and cypermethrin on LPT with LC50 and LC50 values of 1.02 and 27.66 ppm for deltamethrin and 14.19 and 200.55 ppm for cypermethrin, respectively. Accuracy of the fitted probit curve was around 90%. The study revealed that deltamethrin and cypermethrin were effective on larval stages of H. anatolicum at recommended dosage.
