A study was conducted to determine the prevalence of acute fasciolosis in a sheep flock in Siddaramapuram village (Anantapur), Andhra Pradesh during May, 2016 in an outbreak. The overall mortality was 0.6% (15/2500). Higher rate of infection was noticed in adult (12.91%, 455/3525) followed by old (8.75%, 130/1486) and young animals (1.92%, 34/1769). Sex-wise Fasciola infection was higher in female (10.28%, 570/5547) as compared to male (3.97%, 49/1233). Higher rate of infection was recorded during summer (22.56%) followed by autumn (1.72%) and lowest during winter (0.97%) season. The flock was successfully treated with triclabendazole along with levamisole and herbal liver tonics. The sheep flock recovered completely within 30 days.
